Dear Member,

The Office of the Commissioner of Customs (Import), Technical Cell, Air Cargo Complex, Sahar, Andheri (East), Mumbai, has invited trade associations, chambers of commerce, manufacturers, importers, customs brokers and other industry stakeholders to participate in a Trade Outreach Programme on the Eligible Manufacturer Importer (EMI) Scheme.

About the Programme

The programme is being organised to facilitate interaction between Mumbai Customs and the trade/industry and to provide clarification regarding:

  • Eligibility under the Eligible Manufacturer Importer (EMI) Scheme
  • Application process
  • Operational modalities
  • Deferred duty payment under the EMI Scheme
  • Other related queries and clarifications

Members and other interested stakeholders may utilise this programme to seek clarification on the eligibility criteria, application procedure, operational aspects and deferred duty payment provisions under the EMI Scheme.

Participation

CHEMEXCIL members who are manufacturers, importers or other relevant industry stakeholders are requested to take note of the above programme and are encouraged to participate and make use of this opportunity to interact with the Customs authorities and seek necessary clarifications.
