Urgent - Request to provide comments on various candidate chemicals for 18th
meeting of CRC / POPRC under Rotterdam / Stockholm Convention
|
Dear Members,
As you may be aware, the 18th meeting of Chemical Review Committee (CRC-18) under Rotterdam Convention and 18th meeting Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee (POPRC-18) under Stockholm Convention (SC) are scheduled to be held back to back from 19th-23rd September, 2022 and 26th-30th September, 2022 in Rome, Italy.
In this meeting:-
1. CRC-18 will consider the notification of final regulation action on the following chemicals:

* Carbaryl
-
* Carbon tetrachloride

* Chlorfenvinphos
-
* Methidathion
-
* Methyl bromide
-
* Methyl parathion
-
* Mirex
-
* Paraquat
-
* Thiodicarb
2. POPRC-18 will consider

- Review of information related to specific exemptions for decabromodiphenyl ether and short-chain chlorinated paraffin

- Process for the evaluation of perfluorooctane sulfonic acid, its salts and perfluorooctane sulfonyl fluoride pursuant to paragraphs 5 and 6 of part III of Annex B to the Convention.
