Urgent - To Seek comments on three chemicals proposed to be listed under Annex A of Stockholm Convention

Dear Sir/Madam,
Greetings from CHEMEXCIL!
We are in receipt of email from Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals seeking comments on various chemicals to be discussed during 11th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) which is scheduled to take place in Geneva, from 1st to 12th May 2023.
As per the provisional agenda (attached), below mentioned 3 chemicals are likely to have significant adverse effects on human health and/or environment. Hence it is proposed to be listed under Annex A of Stockholm Convention.
(a) Methoxychlor; (b) Dechlorane Plus; (c) UV-328
The production, use, import and export of the chemicals that are listed in Annex A of the Stockholm Convention are prohibited and/or eliminated. The import and export of chemicals listed in Annex A can take place under specific restrictive conditions.
Annex A allows for the registration of specific exemptions for the production or use of listed Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), bearing in mind that special rules apply to polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB).
As the above subject matter is under active consideration of Department of chemicals , you are requested to provide your inputs/comments by 27th January 2023, forenoon on the aspect of above said chemicals for onward communication to said Dept.
