Dear Members,
Council is in receipt of communication from DCPC seeking updated views/comments on the on critical sectors of 'Trade in Goods' track of proposed Bilateral Trade and Investment Agreement with EU to examine the framework/contours/issues related to the proposed India-EU, India-UK Early harvest/comprehensive Trade and Investment Agreement negotiations and work out an agreed way forward for being suitably taken up with the other side.
In this connection, requested for the views/comments on the critical sectors of 'Trade in Goods' track.
There are total of 34 tariff lines from chemicals which are under negative list from Indian side.
34 tariff lines under HS 28,29,32 & 38 EU has asked Partial liberalization or expansion of EU’s negative list (from existing 8 tariff lines) to match India’s negative list.
