Urgent Inputs on the issue relating to FTA with Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) regarding

 

Dear Members,

 

CHEMEXCIL is in receipt of communication from Department seeking inputs for FTA negotiation with Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) regarding.

As you are aware that the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is an international organization focused on economic growth, integration among its member states. At present following 5-countries are the members of the EAEU.

1. Armenia
2. Belarus
3. Kazakhstan
4. Kyrgyzstan
5. Russia

 

In view of FTA negotiations with EAEU, members are requested to provide their inputs on the following points

• 6-digit HS codes/ tariff lines that are of particular interest to your industry presently, as well as those where you’re hoping to expand in the foreseeable future along with the present tariff being imposed on these lines along with the relaxation to be sought from EAEU;

 

• 6- digit HS codes/ tariff lines that may be considered of low negotiation prospects under the EAEU- FTA, especially in areas where the Indian industry is trying to achieve self-reliance.

• Tariff and Non-Tariff Barriers faced by your company in the Eurasian Economic Union countries.

 

• Any other issues, which need to be kept during FTA negotiation with EAEU.
