Trade related issues for 9th Working Group meeting between India and Taiwan:

Regarding

Dear Sir/Madam

CHEMEXCIL is in receipt of communication from Department of Commerce informing that, the 9th Working Group on Trade meeting between India and Taiwan is scheduled to be held soon in Delhi. 

The purpose of this meeting (WGM) between India and Taiwan is  

  • To discuss and negotiate tariff reductions on specific goods or services

  • To address non-tariff barriers to trade, such as quotas or regulations

  • To develop new trade rules or agreements

  • To monitor and enforce existing trade agreements if any

  • To exchange information on trade policies and practices

In view of above members are requested to share the following issues related to their products while exporting to Taiwan

  • Market access issue,

  • Non-tariff barrier,

  • PSR related issues, or

  • Any other issue which the Chemical industry is facing with respect to Taiwan trade and which may be taken up with the Taiwanese side in the upcoming WGT meeting.

Moreover, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) will be organizing the 7th edition of “Taiwan Expo in India” at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 8-10 July 2024. Interested member exporters can promote their products during this Expo and wish to have B2B meetings with identified buyers of Taiwan can share their interest to us for onward communication

Members are requested to share their inputs and interest of participation in Taiwan Expo in India on pw@chemexcil.in with copy to dg@chemexcil.in on or before 10th June 2024.
