With an aim to discuss the strategic integration of better trade and economic prospects and  to create an open and facilitative environment for business, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, is organizing the BIMSTEC Business Summit on 6-8 August 2024 at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi.

This Summit will be a landmark event, bringing together key stakeholders from government, leading businesses, think tanks, research institutions, and industry experts. Through collaborative discussions and dedicated sessions, the Summit will follow 6 tracks including Trade & Logistics, Energy, Services, Operationalization of BIMSTEC FTA, Synergies in Mountain and Blue Economy and Gender mainstreaming. The event will have various     elements including Thematic Session, B2B meetings, Country Sessions, Roundtables and more.  

Dr S Jaishankar, Hon’ble Minister of External Affairs, Government of India has kindly confirmed to address the Summit on 6 August 2024.  Mr Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Commerce and Industry, Government of India along with Commerce and Industry Minister’s from all the BIMSTEC Countries are also invited to grace the Summit with their presence
