Dear Members,
On July 23, 2024, the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers adopted Resolution No. 847, introducing the new Technical Regulations on the Safety of Chemical Products (Ukraine REACH). This regulation, effective from January 26, 2025, aligns Ukraine’s chemical safety standards with the EU and introduces vital new requirements for chemical product registration and management.
Ukraine REACH introduces a “no data, no market” principle, meaning that chemical substances produced or imported into Ukraine in quantities of 1 ton/year or more must be registered with the Ministry of Environment in Ukraine.
The pre-registration started on January 26, 2025, and will end on January 26, 2026. It is crucial for companies to pre-register their existing substances in order to benefit from the transitional period and continue their chemical activities while preparing registration.
