Sensitization of Stakeholders regarding concerns related to misuse of Etomidate in South Asia and instances of possible misdeclaration in exports from India

Greetings from CHEMEXCIL!
The Council has been informed of concerns regarding the potential misuse of Etomidate in South Asia, along with reports of possible misdeclarations in exports from India. These developments require immediate attention from all stakeholders involved in the manufacture, trade, and export of this substance.
In this regard, please find enclosed a detailed note on sensitization measures concerning the trade, handling, and export of Etomidate for your information and necessary action.
Members are advised to exercise utmost caution and due diligence. It is imperative to ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements, including accurate consignment declarations, proper documentation, and adherence to export control norms.
To prevent the misuse, diversion, or unauthorized trade of Etomidate, exporters are requested to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious inquiries or irregularities to the Council.
