Submission of Inputs for NAC (Chemicals) Meeting scheduled on 19th May 2026

Dear Members,
This is to inform that the National Assessment Centre (NAC) – Chemicals, Mumbai Customs, JNCH, is convening a meeting with Industry Associations on 19th May 2026 at 03:00 PM at the Conference Hall, 6th Floor, B Wing, JNCH, Nhava Sheva. The meeting will be conducted in hybrid mode under the chairmanship of the Convener, NAC (Chemicals), Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Customs, JNCH.
The meeting is being organized as a follow-up to the earlier meeting held on 13th April 2026 and aims to deliberate further on customs assessment related matters pertaining to Chapters 28–49.
In this regard, members are requested to kindly share the following:
1. Specific issues/points related to customs assessment matters (including classification, valuation, assessment practices, procedural delays, etc.) which may be taken up for discussion.
2. Any representation, concerns, or follow-up points regarding issues raised during previous NAC (Chemicals) meetings.
3. Relevant supporting documents/details, wherever applicable.
Members are also requested to share the following details of participants attending the meeting:
• Name
• Designation
• Mobile Number
• E-mail ID
• Mode of Participation (Physical / Online)
Kindly note that the number of participants is restricted to a maximum of two representatives per association.
All inputs along with participant details may kindly be shared with CHEMEXCIL on or before 15th May 2026 at ed@chemexcil.in with a copy to shalini@chemexcil.in to enable us to compile and forward the same to NAC (Chemicals) within the stipulated timeline.
Members are requested to provide their valuable inputs to facilitate effective representation of industry concerns before the NAC (Chemicals).
