DGFT Revises Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) for Chemical and Allied Products – Public Notice No. 13/2026-27 dated 29 May 2026

Dear Members,
This is to inform that the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has issued Public Notice No. 13/2026-27 dated 29 May 2026, revising certain Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) under Export Product Group 'A' (Chemical and Allied Products).
The revised SIONs cover the following entries:

A1090 – Caustic Soda Flakes/Solid
-
A1794 – Gelatine
-
A1827 – Ossein
-
A3105 – Chlorinated Paraffin (41%–45% Chlorine Content)
-
A3106 – Chlorinated Paraffin (46%–50% Chlorine Content)
-
A3107 – Chlorinated Paraffin (51%–55% Chlorine Content)
Key Revisions:
1. A1090 – Caustic Soda Flakes/Solid
o Input Norm: Caustic Soda Lye (47–48%)
o Quantity: 2.105 kg for production of 1 kg of Caustic Soda Flakes/Solid.
2. A1794 – Gelatine
o Input Norm: Gel Bones
o Quantity: 3.92 MT for production of 1 MT of Gelatine.
3. A1827 – Ossein
o Input Norm: Gel Bones
o Quantity: 2.24 kg for production of 1 kg of Ossein.
4. A3105, A3106 and A3107 – Chlorinated Paraffin
o Revised input norms have been prescribed for Chlorinated Paraffin grades ranging from 41% to 55% chlorine content.
o The norms specify permissible quantities of Paraffin (C10–C30), Chlorine and Relevant Stabilizer required for manufacturing each grade.
Effect of the Public Notice
The Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) for the above-mentioned Chemical and Allied Products stand amended with immediate effect
