Dear Member,

Greetings from CHEMEXCIL.

We are pleased to inform you that the India–EFTA Prosperity Summit 2026, commemorating one year of the entry into force of the India–EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), is scheduled to be held in second week of October 2026, New Delhi.

The Summit will bring together distinguished dignitaries and senior representatives from the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries — Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland — along with Ministers and senior officials from the Government of India.

On this important occasion, CHEMEXCIL will be presenting the industry's perspectives and members' experiences relating to the implementation and impact of the India–EFTA TEPA. This provides a valuable opportunity for us to place before the concerned authorities practical, industry-led inputs and actionable suggestions that can contribute to strengthening trade and market opportunities between India and EFTA countries.

In this regard, we kindly request our esteemed members to share their specific inputs, particularly under the following areas:

1. Trade-related issues and market access concerns

·  Product-specific market access challenges in EFTA countries

·  Tariff/non-tariff barriers and regulatory requirements

·  Issues affecting competitiveness of Indian products

·  Any sector-specific concerns requiring consideration under TEPA

2. Customs and procedural matters

·  Customs-related difficulties or delays

·  Documentation and certification requirements

·  Rules of origin and procedural challenges

·  Any difficulties experienced in availing TEPA benefits

3. Pre-/Post-India–EFTA TEPA benefits and case studies

·  Increase in exports or business opportunities following TEPA

·  New customers, markets or product categories accessed

·  Reduction in duties/costs or improvement in competitiveness

·  Successful transactions or other tangible benefits attributable to TEPA

·  Brief case studies highlighting the practical impact of the Agreement

4. Suggestions for further strengthening India–EFTA trade

·  Measures that could facilitate greater market access

·  Suggestions for simplifying procedures and improving ease of doing business

·  Areas where Government-to-Government or industry-level engagement may be beneficial

·  Any other recommendations that could support the growth of bilateral trade in chemicals, petrochemicals and allied sectors

Members are encouraged to share specific and evidence-based inputs, wherever possible, including product details, relevant HS Codes, EFTA country concerned, nature of the issue, examples/instances faced, and any suggested solution or intervention.

Your inputs will help CHEMEXCIL present a well-represented and industry-grounded perspective at the Summit and ensure that the concerns and opportunities being highlighted are closely aligned with the practical experiences of our exporting community.
