Request for inputs for 3rd Trade Policy Review (TPR) of Vietnam

Dear Member,
Greetings from CHEMEXCIL.
The Trade Policy Review Body of the World Trade Organization (WTO) is scheduled to undertake the 3rd Trade Policy Review (TPR) of Vietnam on 4th and 6th November 2026.
In this regard, a meeting is scheduled to be held under the chairmanship of Shri Amit Verma, Joint Secretary, FT (ASEAN) Division, Department of Commerce, on 12th October 2026 at 4:30 PM to discuss trade-related issues and opportunities with Viet Nam, particularly issues affecting India’s exports to Viet Nam, including market access concerns, trade barriers and other trade-related issues that may be considered in the forthcoming TPR.
CHEMEXCIL members are requested to kindly furnish their inputs, if any, on the following:

Market access issues and concerns faced while exporting to Viet Nam;

Tariff and non-tariff barriers;
-
Regulatory or procedural difficulties;
-
Any other trade barriers affecting exports of chemicals and allied products to Viet Nam; and
-
Suggestions/recommendations for improving market access and facilitating exports to Viet Nam.

Members are requested to kindly share specific and actionable issues, wherever possible, along with relevant product/HS codes and supporting details.
