WEBINAR ON "UNDERSTANDING THE JAPANESE CHEMICAL REGULATIONS" – 23RD JULY 2026
|
Dear Member,
CHEMEXCIL, in association with GPC, is organizing an informative webinar on "Understanding the Japanese Chemical Regulations." The webinar aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of Japan's chemical regulatory framework and the key compliance requirements applicable to manufacturers, exporters, importers, and regulatory professionals engaged in the Japanese market.
Japan maintains one of the most comprehensive chemical regulatory systems in the world to safeguard human health and the environment. Unlike jurisdictions that operate under a single overarching regulation, such as EU REACH, Japan administers chemical safety through multiple interrelated laws, each addressing specific aspects of chemical manufacture, import, use, risk management and reporting. Understanding these regulatory requirements is essential for companies seeking market access and continued compliance in Japan.
The webinar will primarily focus on the Chemical Substances Control Law (CSCL), Japan's principal legislation governing industrial chemicals, including both new and existing substances. Participants will also gain insights into the Industrial Safety and Health Law (ISHL) and other relevant regulatory frameworks that govern chemical notification, reporting and inventory requirements.
