Webinar on
Filing of Annual RODTEP Returns and Implications of Recent/Proposed US Tariff Changes on Indian Businesses and their impact on Chemical trade
|25th March 2025| 2.30 pm onwards

Dear Members,
As you are aware that  DGFT has issued Public Notice No. 27/2024-25 mandating the filing of the Annual RODTEP Return (ARR) under the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023. Effective from the 23rd of October 2024, exporters seeking benefits under the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RODTEP) scheme must submit their ARR via the DGFT portal by March 31 of the following financial year. This requirement applies to exporters with total RODTEP claims exceeding ?1 crore across all HS codes.

The requirement of ARR has been introduced with an intent to assess the nature of inputs used in export production and amount of actual taxes and duties incurred thereon.

The ARR for the RODTEP claims  filed in a particular financial year shall be filed on DGFT Portal by 31st March of the next financial year i.e. RODTEP claims information for FY 2023-24 shall be required to be filed by 31.03.2025

Additionally, you must be knowing that the global trade landscape is witnessing significant shifts, particularly with the recent and proposed tariff changes in the United States. These developments have critical implications for Indian exporters, especially those in the chemical sector, affecting market access, pricing competitiveness, and supply chain dynamics.

As the deadline for RODTEP Annual return filing is fast approaching and to help exporters navigate these changes, CHEMEXCIL, in association with Ernst & Young LLP (EY), is organizing an insightful webinar on Filing of Annual RODTEP Returns and Implications of Recent / Proposed US Tariff Changes on Indian Businesses and their impact on Chemical trade.
