The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) introduced EDPMS (Export Data Processing and Monitoring System) and IDPMS (Import Data Processing and Monitoring System) to digitally monitor cross-border trade transactions. These platforms track shipping bills, bills of entry, and related payments to ensure timely realization of foreign exchange and compliance with FEMA/RBI regulations.

Mastering EDPMS and IDPMS helps businesses achieve accurate reconciliation, smooth closure of entries, and effective exception handling—making them essential for seamless international trade operations.
