As we all are aware that Britain officially left the EU on 31 Jan. 2020. The Brexit transitional period is already ended on December 31, 2020.
It means that from 1st January-2021; manufacturers will have to abide by the proposed changes in the Regulatory framework in the United Kingdom (UK)
From 1st January 2021, EU REACH registrations are no longer valid for sales in Great Britain (GB) (UK) .
Exporters needs to execute some actions required by 30th April 2021 and 27th October 2021. UK REACH will enter into force from 1st January 2021 and affect companies in business with GB (UK) , which demands all chemicals in use above 1 tons per year to be notified followed by registration to HSE authority (Health & Safety Executive) of UK.
Indian manufacturers can appoint an Only Representative (OR) in the GB (UK) to fulfill their obligations under the UK REACH and retain Downstream User (DU) status of their customers in GB (UK).
