Castor Oil is used for a number of industrial applications including paints, varnish, resins, plasticizers and so on. There is also a growing market for value added castor oil products such as derivatives- hydrogenated Castor Oil, dehydrated castor oil, Fatty Alcohols and Aldehydes, Amyl Cinamic Aldehyde, Gamma-ndecalactone (Aldehyde C-14), Ethyl Methyl Phenyl Glycidate (Aldehyde C-16).

Exports of Castor Oil and its derivatives during the year 2012-13 have been to the tune of US $ 829.8 Million.
