CHEMEXCIL : What it represents

With a view to create a favorable export climate, the Govt. of India has set up a number of Organizations solely devoted to the task of promoting the exports of India’s traditional and non-traditional items. Basic Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics Export Promotion Council or CHEMEXCIL, comprising representatives of industry, Trade and the Government, is one such Organization.

CHEMEXCIL has Four separate Panels, each Panel being a specialized unit, guiding the export interest of the items covered under its purview. These Panels are:
Bullet PANEL – I : DYES & DYE INTERMEDIATES
Bullet PANEL - II : BASIC INORGANIC & ORGANIC CHEMICALS INCLUDING AGRO CHEMICALS
Bullet PANEL - III : COSMETICS, TOILETRIES, ESSENTIAL OILS.
Bullet PANEL - IV : CASTOR OILS.

The Council undertakes foreign market studies and surveys, sends trade missions to explore new markets, lays down quality and packing standards according to international norms and looks into complaints, if any, on these aspects.

It assists exporters by advising or representing to Government, local authorities and Public Bodies on problems affecting export trade. Efforts are directed to ensure supply of quality products at competitive prices to major foreign markets.
