• First time importers / exporters, verification of documents for KYC

Representations have been received by JNCH from first time importers / exporters/ other stakeholders
highlighting problems faced during verification of documents by Customs in connection with KYC.
It has been represented that number of documents are being asked from them, which adds to the
transaction cost and also delays the import and export shipments. With the objective to promote
ease of doing business, reducing use of paper, to make import and export easier and hassle free
and also to facilitate easy access of database of first time importers / exporters, JNCH has issued
PN 112/2017 dated 31/08/2017 with revised procedure for KYC verification of first time importers /

Members are requested to take note of above Trade Facilitation/ Ease of doing Business measures

SUBJECT:-Online facility for submission of Quarterly Export Return

Dear Sir/Madam,

Council has introduced online facility for submission of Quarterly Export Return. Members may access
the following link for the aforesaid service: http://chemexcil.co.in/member_login.php

We, therefore, appeal to you that as a member of the Council you are requested to upload export returns
regularly via the above link and assure you that information provided by you would be kept secured as
classified data.

Submission of export returns quarterly has been made mandatory as per Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20,
Handbook of Procedures (Rule 2.96 (b)). Hence, members are requested to submit the Export Return
from April, 2017 onwards by online.

Also the members who have submitted the hard copy to the Council are requested to kindly upload the
same on the link mentioned.
