Imposition of Anti-Dumping Duty on "Saccharin", originating in or exported from Indonesia

Dear Members,
We would like to inform you that the Department Of Revenue, Ministry Of Finance, Government Of India have issued Notification No.20 /2019-Customs (ADD)New Delhi dated 3rd May, 2019 regarding Imposition of Anti-Dumping Duty on "Saccharin", originating in or exported from Indonesia, in pursuance with anti-dumping investigation final findings issued by the DGTR.
As per the above notification, in the matter of import of ‘Saccharin’ falling under HS Code No. 29251100 of originating in or exported from and imported into India, the designated authority in its final findings vide notification No. 6/13/2018-DGAD, dated the 29th March, 2019 has come to the conclusion that-

The product under consideration has been exported to India from subject country below their normal values and consequently, the domestic industry has suffered material injury. Material injury has been caused by the dumped imports of subject goods from the subject country during the Period of Investigation (POI).

And has recommended the imposition of definitive anti-dumping duty on the imports of subject goods, originating in or exported from the subject countries and imported into India, in order to remove injury to the domestic industry.

Therefore, the Central Government, after considering the aforesaid final findings of the designated authority, hereby imposes on the subject goods, the description of which is specified below Table:-

The anti-dumping duty imposed shall be effective for a period of five years (unless revoked, superseded or amended earlier) from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette and shall be payable in Indian currency.
For the purpose of this notification, rate of exchange applicable for the purposes of calculation of such anti-dumping duty shall be the rate which is specified in the notification of the Government of India issued from time to time.
Members (specially importing this item) are requested to take and do the needful accordingly.
