Request to expedite export shipments by 31/03/2019 and
also details of issues for government intervention

Dear Members,
As we approach the end of FY 2018-19, we are hopeful that you are working hard to maximize your exports in this fiscal.
I take this opportunity to share with you that in the current year (April”18 to Feb 2019 period) our exports have touched USD 17.19 bn registering a growth of 24.21% i.e. over corresponding period of previous year and are likely to end the year at around USD 18.5 bn. All this has been possible with your hard work and zeal to excel in this competitive environment in exports.
Kindly note that the Department of Commerce has advised Chemexcil to request exporters to expedite their shipments by 31/03/2019 itself so that we achieve our targets in exports.
To further support & facilitate your export shipments/endeavor, Department of Commerce has also sought feedback from the members on issues if any, related to customs or any other procedural bottlenecks which are hampering our export shipments.
Members are therefore requested to please let us know details of such issues (related to customs or shipments) If any, so that we can take up the same with the government for intervention.
