 To seek inputs for Upcoming India-Zimbabwe JTC Meeting: Regarding  

 

Dear Members,

 

CHEMEXCIL is in receipt of communication from Department of Commerce on the upcoming 3rd session of the India-Zimbabwe Joint Trade Committee (JTC) meeting. This meeting is likely to be held in the first week of May 2024 between India and Zimbabwe. It will be co-chaired by the Economic Adviser, Department of Commerce.

 

For the preparation of this JTC meeting, the Department of Commerce is organizing a preparatory discussion meeting on 10th April 2024 which will be chaired by the Economic Adviser. The CHEMEXCIL Secretariat will attend this meeting to deliberate on this important subject.

 

In view of above we seek your input on chemical trade-related issues faced by the exporters while dealing with Zimbabwe.

 

This will help us to represent the Indian chemical Industries interest during the JTC meeting.

 

Some of the issues of concern that can be shared are as under :

 

  1. Regulatory Issues

  2. Tariffs and Trade Barriers

  3. Standards and Certification

  4. Environmental and Safety Standards

  5. Intellectual Property Rights

  6. Market Access and Investment

  7. Technical Cooperation and Capacity Building

  8. Sustainable Development

  9. Any other issue.

 

Request you to submit such issues to pw@chemexcil.in  with a copy to dg@chemexcil.in  on or before 9th April 2024.
